Silambam ArenaAbout Silambam Arena
Silambam is Tamil Nadu's ancient stick-fighting art, practised for over two thousand years and passed from master (aasan) to student in villages, temples and schools. Silambam Arena organises online championships so that practitioners anywhere in India can compete, be judged by experienced masters, and be recognised for their skill without the cost of travelling to a venue.
What we do
We run video-based Silambam championships. Participants pick an age category and an event, record a routine at home or at their academy, and submit the link. A panel of Silambam masters scores each entry on technique, speed, footwork, control and presentation. Every participant receives a medal engraved with their name, a T-shirt and a certificate; the top three in each category and event win Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Who we are
Silambam Arena is operated by Silambam Arena (Proprietor: Your Full Name), based in Chennai. (Replace this paragraph with your own story: your master, your academy, how long you have practised, and why you started these championships.)
Our judges
