These terms govern your use of https://yourdomain.com (the "Website") and your participation in online Silambam championships organised by Silambam Arena (Proprietor: Your Full Name) ("we", "us", "Silambam Arena"). By registering, you accept these terms, our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Shipping & Delivery Policy. A parent or guardian who registers a child accepts these terms on the child's behalf.

1. The championship

This is a video-based competition. Participants record a Silambam routine within the published performance window and submit a link. There is no venue, no live bouts and no physical contact with other participants. Entries are scored by judges appointed by us.

2. Eligibility and categories

• Open to participants aged 5 and above residing in India.
• Categories are by age as on the day of registration. Proof of age may be requested before results are declared; an entry in the wrong category may be moved or disqualified.
• Surul Vaal is open only to the Senior and Masters categories.
• One registration admits one participant to one event. Separate registrations are needed for additional events.

3. Registration and fees

• Fees are shown in Indian Rupees and include all applicable taxes and delivery within India.
• An entry is confirmed only when payment is successfully received and a confirmation email with a reference number is issued.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you submit, including the name to be engraved on the medal, T-shirt size and delivery address. Changes are accepted until dispatch.
• Entries are personal and cannot be transferred or resold.

4. Video rules

• Duration 60–180 seconds, recorded between 15 Nov 2026 and 31 Dec 2026, submitted before 05 Jan 2027.
• One continuous, unedited take. Cuts, speed changes, filters, overlays or stand-ins lead to disqualification.
• The participant must state their name, category and event at the start, and remain fully visible with the stick throughout.
• The link must open without login. Links that cannot be opened are rejected; one resubmission is allowed before the deadline.
• By submitting, you confirm the performance is your own and that you hold the rights to the video.

5. Judging and results

Entries are scored on the published criteria. Judges' decisions are final and not subject to appeal. We may disqualify entries that break the video rules, are unsafe, contain offensive content, or are entered in the wrong category. Results are announced on or about 20 Jan 2027.

6. Safety and assumption of risk

Silambam involves weapons and vigorous movement. By registering you confirm that the participant is medically fit, will perform in a clear and safe space, will use appropriate equipment, and, if under 18, will be supervised by an adult. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Silambam Arena (Proprietor: Your Full Name), its owners, judges and staff are not liable for any injury, illness, loss or damage arising from preparation for, recording of, or participation in the championship.

7. Media rights

You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show clips or stills from submitted videos, together with the participant's name, category and result, on our Website, social media and promotional material. Email support@yourdomain.com if you want a video excluded from promotion; this does not affect judging.

8. Championship kit

Medal and T-shirt designs shown on the Website are representative. Minor variations in colour, finish or engraving style may occur. The medal is engraved with the name exactly as entered at registration. Kits are dispatched only after results are declared.

9. Changes or cancellation

We may extend the performance window, video deadline or results date. If we cancel the championship entirely, all paid participants receive a full refund to the original payment method.

10. Conduct

Abusive behaviour towards our team, judges or other participants may result in disqualification without refund.

11. Intellectual property

The Website, championship names, logos, medal and certificate designs are our property. You may not reproduce them without written permission.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai.
